Questions renovators ask about the plan

19 straight answers about the price, the terms, your website and what we can and can’t promise.

The plan and the price

What does the plan cost?

A$249 a month and a one-off setup fee of A$499, with a 12-month minimum term. Prices are shown without GST; GST may apply. There is one plan and one price for every renovation business.

Why is there a 12-month minimum term?

The upfront cost is kept to the A$499 setup fee, and the monthly fee pays for building, hosting and looking after the site over time. The minimum term is what makes that split work. After 12 months the plan runs month to month, and the terms say so plainly before you sign.

Can I cancel?

Yes. After the 12-month minimum term you can end the plan with written notice before your next billing date. During the minimum term you can still end it, but the monthly fees for the rest of the term remain payable, unless you are ending it because we seriously breached the terms and did not fix it. The plan terms set this out in full.

What happens after the first 12 months?

The plan continues month to month at A$249 a month with the same inclusions. Either of us can end it with written notice. If we ever change the monthly fee, we give you at least 30 days’ written notice first.

Are there any other fees?

Not for what the plan includes. You pay your own domain registration to the registrar. Work outside the plan, such as a new feature or a redesign, is quoted first and nothing is charged unless you agree.

Do you offer discounts or a cheaper plan?

No. There is one plan at one price for every business, with no promotional pricing. That keeps the offer the same for everyone.

Your website

How long does it take to get my site live?

Your site is live within 14 days of us receiving your content: your business details, licence details, photos, service areas and the words for each page. If something is missing, we tell you what, and the 14 days start once it arrives.

Do I have to write the words for my site?

You supply the content: what you do, how your jobs run, your projects and your prices if you show them. Rough notes, dot points or a voice memo are fine. We lay it out into pages and tidy the wording, but we don’t invent claims about your business.

What counts as a content edit?

One change to an existing page, such as adding a finished project, changing prices, swapping photos, updating your service area or changing your hours. Up to 5 are included each month. New sections, new features and redesigns are outside the plan and quoted first.

Who owns my domain and content?

You do. The domain is registered in your business name and you pay the registrar. Your words, photos, logo and prices stay yours. When the plan ends we give you a copy of the content you supplied and help you point the domain wherever you choose.

I already have a website. Can you move it across?

We build your new site on our plan, using content from your current site where it is yours to reuse. We help you point your domain to the new site when it is ready, so there is no gap.

Can I show my licence number on the site?

Yes, and we recommend it. Your licensed name and licence number go in the footer of every page, with full licence and insurance details on the about page. Some states set rules for what a licensed contractor’s advertising must include, so check yours.

Search, enquiries and results

Will the website get me more jobs?

We can’t promise that, and we don’t. The site is built to explain your work clearly, show finished projects and make it easy to enquire, and we report the enquiries it receives every month. How many jobs come from it depends on your market, your work, your reviews and how you follow up.

Will I rank on the first page of Google?

No one can honestly promise a ranking. We build each site on sound technical foundations, with a page for each service, real project pages and correct structured data. Rankings depend on competition, your reviews, your Google Business Profile and time.

Do you run Google Ads or social media ads?

No. Paid advertising and ad spend are not part of the plan. If you run ads yourself or with someone else, your site can be the page they link to.

Does the plan include my Google Business Profile?

The profile is yours to own and manage, and it is not part of the plan. We link your website and profile properly, and our blog has a practical guide to setting the profile up for a renovation business.

Working together

What happens on the first call?

We ask how you win work now, which jobs you want more of and where you work. We show you the sample designs and explain the plan and its terms. If it doesn’t suit your business, we say so. There is no charge and no obligation.

Do you work with renovators in every state?

Yes. The plan is for kitchen and bathroom renovation businesses anywhere in Australia. Everything is done by call, email and shared documents, so there is no need to meet in person.

Is the plan for homeowners?

No. The plan is sold only to businesses, for use in their business. If you are a homeowner planning a renovation, our blog is written for renovation businesses rather than for you.

Still have a question?

Ask it on a call. The pricing page covers costs and terms in more detail, and the plan terms are the full agreement.
